Today, we are living in a world that has been changing and the technologies make it better and easier to live. Meeting new people on line or keeping the contact with those you know is a good way when you are far away from them. I am originally from Brazil and the IM’s, personal pages, my space, face book, and IM messengers, help me to be in contact with them and we can talk, see each other on webcams, post pictures and talk on microphones. So video conference is a good way to see and talk at the same time and you don’t have to pay, just need a internet connection. You can also meet new friends at web pages designed for that. Even lovers are met today on line with the technologies. I think the old way to meet a lover is the best way to know someone better, but some people are luck and find true lovers.

Communication by computer arrived into a new era, people can find different ways to communication through the internet, for that they created what we call Email, chat, phone, etc. this type communication created a revolution in the whole world due human has been affected in their routine and their behavior.
Email became the most important way to communicate through the internet, email can be read it when they want and write it when they want it. Businesses are using this type of communication because it is fast and secure. Another way of communicate is through the chat, people can access and talk to the other party at the same time. Many people are using PDA or Blackberry phone allow receiving and sending email, we can see many people on train, supermarket, mall even to the bathroom reading email through their device, and even more, many of them still reading their email before they go sleep. Without any doubt, Internet became a biggest change in human’s life, facilitating all access to any information immediately, communicate in different way to their families and friends, making video conferences, email or interchange information through email making an easy life for human bean. Most definitely this is an area that I would love to explore in my research paper. I am from the generation that has seen online dating becoming a phenomenon and that intrigues me. Today, we take from granted the existence of many dating websites such as match.com, eharmony.com and many others. Also, we all at some point have or had a mating profile on myspace.com, facebook.com, friendster.com, orkut.com... The question is why? Why do we feel important to exist in the cyberspace and post our pictures, connect to people...How does that add to our real lives? To what extent the internet can change our lives and our perception of the world? Finding a girlfriend/boyfriend online is one great example on how the internet has changed completely human relationships. This is the field I would like to investigate. The parameters of my research paper so far are look for data and researches on usage of these mating services (no definite source yet); social etiquette adopted on these online relationships (will use myspace.com as an example); and real life examples (will use onlinedating.com, a great resource of articles and testemonials regarding the subject). This is only the start and I will be more than glad to hear suggestions. Thank you guys...
